BASIC ANGEL ROLLS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 1/2 to 3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk

NOTE: Bake on 350 degrees for 15 minutes or golden brown.

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, sugar and salt in bowl. Combine shortening, buttermilk and yeast mixture; add to dry ingredients stirring just until moistened. (Dough will be sticky.) Roll dough, cut and place on greased pan. Serves 2 dozen.
