SMOTHERED RABBIT 
1 lg. onion
1/2 bell pepper
1/4 c. oil
Flour
1/2 c. red wine
3-4 rabbits

Season rabbits well with red pepper and garlic powder. Dust with flour. Brown well in oil. Remove rabbits from pot. Brown onions and bell pepper in remaining oil until tender. Return rabbit to pot. Add a little water and cover. Continue cooking until tender adding a little wafer at a time. Continue cooking until tender. Add wine and cook approximately 15 minutes more. Serve with rice and French bread.
