FUDGE BROWNIES | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 2 (1 oz.) sqs. unsweetened chocolate 3/4 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional) In medium saucepan, melt chocolate and butter. Remove from heat, cool slightly. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla, stir in flour and nuts. Mix well but do not beat. Pour into 8 x 8 inch buttered pan. Bake at 325 degree for about 20 minutes. Be careful not to over bake and loose fudgeness. For a quick icing - sprinkle 6 ounces chocolate chips on while warm. Fudge Icing: Melt 2 ounce square unsweetened chocolate with 3 tablespoons butter. Add 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon milk. Add more milk and sugar if necessary for texture. Keep stirring and keep pan on very low heat while mixing. When ready, spread on cake or brownies. |
