FUDGE BROWNIES
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 (1 oz.) sqs. unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

In medium saucepan, melt chocolate and butter. Remove from heat, cool slightly. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla, stir in flour and nuts. Mix well but do not beat. Pour into 8 x 8 inch buttered pan. Bake at 325 degree for about 20 minutes. Be careful not to over bake and loose fudgeness.

For a quick icing - sprinkle 6 ounces chocolate chips on while warm.

Fudge Icing: Melt 2 ounce square unsweetened chocolate with 3 tablespoons butter. Add 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon milk. Add more milk and sugar if necessary for texture. Keep stirring and keep pan on very low heat while mixing. When ready, spread on cake or brownies.

Fudge Brownies

Always makes the best brownies! I've been using this recipe for a year! Only thing is I split the yolks and the whites and beat both well. Also use 4-5 oz of chocolate. And let bake for about 30 minutes instead of 20! Works wonderful, taste delicious and extremely fudgey!
