OLD TIME GINGERBREAD 
1 c. shortening
1 c. molasses
1 c. sour milk
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. ginger
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs
4 c. flour

Heat shortening, sugar and molasses; beat well. Add eggs, milk and spices. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda to 4 cups of flour. Roll out and bake in slow oven, 300 degrees.
