FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (17 oz.) can fruit cocktail, undrained

TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Carnation milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Mix cake ingredients together with a fork. Pour in a 9 x 9 greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Heat topping ingredients and put over each serving.
