BROILED CHICKEN 
1/2 lb. chicken
3 tbsp. sake
3 tbsp. shoyu
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. powdered Japanese pepper or ginger
1/2 daikon, grated

Cut chicken into bite-size. Space them on bamboo spits.

Make sauce from sake, shoyu and sugar.

Broil spitted chicken over fire. Dip into sauce and broil again. Repeat 3 or 4 times.

Sprinkle with Japanese pepper and serve with grated daikon.
