BUCKWHEAT CAKES 
2 c. flour
2 c. warm water
2 tsp. salt
1 c. pure buckwheat flour
1 pkg. yeast

Start in evening by soaking yeast in water. Add flour and salt. Let rise until morning. Then add 1 cup boiling water, with 1 teaspoon baking soda. Add 2 tablespoons sugar, fry in hot fat. Save 1 cup sponge. Add salt, flour, buckwheat and water as before. Add more soda, sugar and water in morning.
