FAVA BEANS (EGYPTIAN FOUL) | |
1 (12 oz.) can fava beans 2 tbsp. lemon juice 4 tbsp. light olive oil Garlic powder Salt & pepper to taste 2 tbsp. chopped parsley for garnish Sliced onions (optional) Pita bread (optional) Place fava beans with liquid in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the flame to low and heat through. Season the beans with lemon juice, olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with parsley. Serve with sliced onions and pita bread. |
