BEA'S PUMPKIN BOOZE PIE 
1 qt. half and half
1 tbsp. butter
1 qt. pumpkin pulp or 2 cans
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. rum
1/2 c. bourbon
2 unbaked pie shells, 9 inches

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In pan, heat half and half and butter until bubbles form. Stir this mixture into a large bowl of pumpkin pulp. Stir in vanilla, sugar, egg yolks, flour, salt and cinnamon. Mix well and add bourbon. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold into pumpkin mixture and mix well. Fill the pie shells nearly full. Place in oven, then top off until very full. Bake for about 1 hour. Let cool and serve with cream topping if desired.
