BEEROCK 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
3 3/4 c. lukewarm water
1/2 c. shortening
8 c. flour

FILLING #1: Cabbage: Grate 1 cup of cabbage and 1 cup of onion. Steam cabbage and onion together. Brown and drain 1 pound ground beef. Mix together and add salt and pepper.

FILLING #2: Pizza: Brown and drain 1 pound ground beef. Add 1/2 teaspoon oregano, 3 tablespoons catsup and 1/2 chopped onion. Cut any cheese in 1" squares.

Dissolve yeast in the warm water; add sugar, salt, shortening and mix. Gradually add flour to make dough that is easy to handle. Form into a ball, grease the top, cover and let rise in a warm place until double. Work down and let rise until double. Roll it out until it's about 1 1/2" thick. Cut in squares about 4"x4". Fill with one heaping tablespoon filling. Pull up corners and pinch together to make a bun. Put on cooking sheet with pinched side down. Brush top with liquid shortening. Let rise until double. Bake at 375 degrees until crusty and brown.
