1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. milk
2 c. flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients together and drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375 for 12-15 minutes.

Chopped nuts can be added to the cookie dough. Do not overbake. When cool ice with your chocolate icing. (This is a soft cake like cookie.)
