BEEF PORCUPINES | |
1 lb. hamburger 1/2 c. raw rice 1/4 c. onion, fine or 1 tbsp. dried onion 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. oil 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 c. water Mix beef, rice, onion and seasonings. Shape in balls. Fry in hot oil. Turn often until light brown. Add sauce and water. Cover. Simmer 45 minutes. Do not let it get too dry. Serves 4. |
