3 1/3 c. unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 pkg. (lg. box) instant pudding (chocolate, vanilla or butterscotch)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 c. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional

Mix flour and soda. Combine butter, sugar, pudding and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add eggs. Add flour and then chips. Bake on ungreased pan at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
