SAVORY TARRAGON CREAM CHEESE 
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. milk or cream
1 clove garlic, finely minced
2 tbsp. dried tarragon
1 tbsp. dried parsley
Pinch cayenne pepper
Dozen turns freshly ground pepper

Cream cheese and milk, add herbs. Refrigerate to blend flavors. Keeps well covered. Handy for unexpected guests.

At Christmas, I usually make the standard cheese ball with dried beef and Worcestershire sauce. I wanted something similar but with seasonal herbs for spring & summer. I was so hoping this would be a winner, but it's not. I even added Worcestershire and chopped green onion to no avail. Maybe it needs fresh herbs not dried? I don't know, but it's so bland my family says it's like a bite cream cheese only. I even increased the cayenne, but nothing. I'll keep looking!
