TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 lb. Kraft caramels 1 can Eagle Brand milk 1 stick butter 1 c. pecans 1 c. chocolate chips Combine caramels, Eagle Brand milk and butter. Melt in double boiler or microwave. Stir often. Prepare cake mix as directed on the box. Pour 1/2 of the batter into a greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour caramel mixture over the baked cake layer. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts as next layer. Pour remaining batter over the top. Then cook 20 minutes more at 350 degrees. Let cool completely before trying to cut. Will be very moist. |
