APPLESAUCE SNACK CAKES 
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, add sugar beating well. Add eggs. Stir soda and vanilla into applesauce. Combine flour and spices; add to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce mixture, mixing after each addition.

Spoon batter into paper-lined muffin pan filing 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 17 to 19 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.

Batter can be covered and stored in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
