DAD'S BAKED OYSTERS ON THE HALF
SHELL
 
1/2 bushel Chincoteague oysters
Cracker crumbs
Butter

Scrub and open oysters on deep shell; cut away from shell but do not remove, being careful to retain all juices. Place oysters on baking sheet. Add cracker crumbs to each oyster sufficient to absorb juices. Add 1/2 teaspoon butter to each oyster. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown. Makes 4 servings.
