ITALIAN CREAM CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco

Cream together.

2 c. flour
5 egg yolks
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Add to sugar, butter and Crisco mix. Beat egg white until stiff and fold in then add:

1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped pecans

Pour into 3 round or square 9 inch cake pans greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

ITALIAN CREAM ICING:

1 stick butter
1 lg. cream cheese

Cream together and add:

1 box powdered sugar
Teaspoon vanilla
1 c. finely chopped pecans

Spread on cool cake.
