PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained
1 lg. container Cool Whip
Nuts, red or green cherries, coconut, optional
1 lg. box vanilla pudding (regular or instant)

Bake cake in 13 x 9 inch pan and prepare pudding as directed. After cake has cooked, cut in half and break into chunks. Place 1/2 of cake pieces in punch bowl. Layer 1/2 pineapple, pie filling, pudding, and Cool Whip. Repeat with other half. If desired decorate with nuts, cherries or coconut.
