Slices of thick bread 3 oz. cream cheese 1/2 lb. grated cheese (Cheddar) 1 stick butter 2 egg whites Cut off crusts and cube bread. In double boiler melt 3 ounce cream cheese, 1/2 pound grated Cheddar cheese. Add 1 stick butter and blend well. Remove from heat and fold in (after cooling) 2 egg whites beaten stiff. Dip cubes in and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 4-5 minutes or until puffy and brown. |
