4-8 yams (boil like new potatoes 2-3 minutes, cool, peel, slice)
6-8 apples (peel and slice thin) layer in baking dish

nto a sauce pan add:

2 c. sugar
4 c. water
1 pound butter
6 tbsp. flour

Boil to thicken. Sprinkle on top of potatoes: cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Pour sauce over top. Bake 1-1/2 hours at 350.
