SPICY CUPCAKES 
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cold coffee
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. seedless raisins
1/4 c. chopped pecans

Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and salt. Cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy, then add molasses and eggs, beating well. Add dry ingredients alternately with coffee, mixing well, then add vanilla. Toss raisins and pecans with one extra tablespoon flour, then stir them into batter.

Pour into paper lined 2 1/2 inch muffin pan cups filling each 2/3 full. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees about 25 minutes.
