CHOCOLATE PRETZELS 
1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp. orange peel
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
2 eggs
1 c. packed light or dark brown sugar
For decoration: 1 egg white, slightly beaten Granulated sugar

Chop chocolate in blender or food processor. Mix with orange peel, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. In a large bowl, beat eggs and brown sugar until pale and smooth. Gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended - will become stiff.

Divide dough in 36 equal pieces. On lightly floured surface, roll each piece in to 9-inch rope. Bend into pretzel shape. Place 1-inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheets. Brush with egg white, sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes until firm to touch; cool. Store airtight at room temperature.
