3 c. self-rising meal
3 c. chopped onion
2 eggs
1 2/3 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. red pepper

Mix all ingredients well. Set aside until ready to cook. Do not stir. Drop tablespoon size in hot oil; fry until golden brown.
