1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 1/2 c. oatmeal, blended
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. pkg. semi sweet chocolate chip morsels
1 (4 oz.) grated milk
Chocolate candy bar (optional)
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven 375 degrees. Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender or (food processor), until it becomes a fine powder, in a large mixing bowl, combine blended oatmeal with flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda, set aside. In a small mixing bowl, cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour mixture. Add chips, candy bar, and nuts. Roll into balls and space 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
