SOUR DOUGH PANCAKES

2 c. lukewarm water
1/2 c. sour dough
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. oil

Cook just like you would with regular pancakes. Makes about 30 cakes. Leftover pancakes may be stored and used later by putting jam or jelly on them. Very good pancakes.

Sour Dough Pancakes

This recipe calls for too much water. I used about a cup of warm water instead of the 2 cups. Still a little watery. Not very tender pancakes.

If your pancakes were tough it was not because of too much water, it was because you over beat the pancake batter. you always must adjust pancake batter with more flour or water, one or the other.

I made this recipe with 3 tablespoons of sour cream, 1/4 cup of applesauce, and 2 shakes of ground cinnamon. It is cooking in butter on the electric grill now. It smells amazing! Looking forward to having these pancakes for today's breakfast.
