SOCK - IT - TO - ME - CAKE | |
1 pkg. Duncan Hines butter recipe cake mix 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. water 1/3 c. Crisco or Puritan oil 1 c. sour cream 4 eggs FILLING: 2 tbsp. reserved cake mix 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 c. chopped nuts Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix filling ingredients and set aside. In a large mixer bowl, blend cake mix, sour cream, oil, sugar, water and eggs. Beat at high speed for 2 minutes. Pour 2/3 of the batter in a greased and floured pan (Tube or Bundt pan). Sprinkle filling over batter in pan. Spread remaining batter evenly over mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool right side up for 25 minutes, then remove from pan. Glaze: Blend 1 cup confectioners' sugar and 2 tablespoons milk. Drizzle over cake. |
