CAKE IN THE PAN 
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. Wesson oil
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavor
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs

Mix all ingredients in one large mixing bowl except the boiling water. Stir all up good with a spoon. Add the boiling water, then mix with a mixer well. Then pour in an oblong pan. Bake at 400 degrees.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavor

Place into a quart saucepan. Cook over a low flame, stirring slowly until it becomes thick. When large bubbles appear, take off. Let cool, then add 1 cup chopped pecans in it and spread over the cool cake in the pan.
