TEXAS PAN CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream

Boil together butter, water and cocoa, then cool slightly. Mix together sugar, flour, salt and baking soda. Add cocoa mixture. Beat eggs and add to above. Add sour cream. Bake in greased 9x3x2 inch pan at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. nuts (optional)

Boil butter, milk and cocoa. Remove from heat and add confectioners' sugar, vanilla and nuts; beat well. Spread on cake while both are still hot.
