LEFSE (INSTANT POTATOES) | |
4 c. water 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 sticks butter Heat to boiling and add 1 cup cold milk. Remove from burner and add 4 1/2 cups instant potatoes. Beat as mashed potatoes and chill thoroughly. May refrigerate overnight. For baking, add 3 1/2 cups flour with 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, mix with hands. Roll thin. Bake on lefse grill at 500 degrees. Makes 36-38 rounds. |
