CHOCOLATE CHESS PIE 
1/2 c. butter
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
Ice cream or whipped topping

Combine butter and chocolate in top of double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate and butter melt, stirring occasionally, set aside.

Combine eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer 3 to 4 minutes. Add melted chocolate mixture and beat well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
