POPCORN BALLS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
3 qts. popped corn

Boil together 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water, 1 tsp. vinegar for 5 minutes. Add corn syrup, butter and salt. Boil together until a few drops in cold water becomes hard and brittle against the glass. Pour this over 3 quarts of warm popped popcorn and stir until it cools slightly. Cool hands in cold water and wipe dry. Form corn into balls.
