BELGIAN COOKIE WAFFLE | |
1 c. (250 mL) butter 1 c. (250 mL) sugar 1 tbsp. (15 mL) vanilla 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) salt 2 eggs 2 1/4 c. (550 mL) flour Preheat waffle maker. Put butter and sugar into large mixing bowl. Cream together on medium low. Add vanilla and salt. Increase speed to medium. Add eggs. Mix until smooth. Reduce the speed to low. Now add the flour. Mix well. Drop 1/3 cup (75 mL) of dough on each grid. Close the waffle maker. Bake until golden brown which takes about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. Remove waffle from waffle maker with a non-metal turner to wire rack. Give the waffles time to cool. Serve them plain or with your favorite topping. This recipe makes 8 waffles. |
