CRACKER JACKS 
2 1/2 qt. popped corn
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 c. roasted peanuts
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

In large shallow pan spread popcorn and peanuts. Place in a 250 degree oven to warm. In a large saucepan, combine butter, sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Boil until mixture reaches 248 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove and stir in baking soda.

Pour over warmed popcorn. Stir to coat. Return to oven; bake for 45 minutes more. Stir every 15 minutes. Pour onto waxed paper; cool. Store in airtight container.
