3 c. self rising flour 3 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 (12 oz.) can beer (room temperature), flat beer is not suitable 2 eggs Cornmeal Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine ingredients in order listed. Grease bread pan with butter. Sprinkle cornmeal in the bottom of the pan. Add bread dough. Bake at 325 degrees for 65 minutes. Crust should be hard and appear light brown. Turn out on rack brush top with butter. Serve warm with butter and honey. |
