BRAN MUFFINS | |
1/3 c. Crisco 1 c. boiling water 1/2 c. molasses 1 c. dark brown sugar 1 c. 100% bran 1 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. Bisquick 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 beaten eggs 2 c. buttermilk and 2 c. All Bran 1 c. each raisins and broken walnuts Stir shortening and boiling water until shortening melts, then add rest of small bowl ingredients. Thoroughly blend dry ingredients in very large bowl. Add eggs and buttermilk. When blended, add bran/sugar mixture, All Bran, raisins, and nuts. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full and bake at 375-400 degrees for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Makes 30 regular muffins. |
