OLD FASHIONED GREEN BEANS 
3/4 lb. green beans
8 slices bacon
2 med. potatoes, pared and cut in 1/2 inch pieces
1 sm. onion, sliced
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook beans in small amount of water for 10-15 minutes or until just tender. Cut bacon and fry until crisp. Add green beans, potatoes, onion, water and salt to bacon and cook, covered, about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
