GREEN BEAN SOUP 
2 lbs. green beans
6 med. potatoes
1 qt. half and half
1 stick butter
Salt in water

Cook green beans and potatoes together until almost done or tender. Make dumplings and put in with green beans and potatoes, dropping by the teaspoon. Cook dumplings until done and they come to the top. Add half and half to soup. Put butter in pan and brown (dark brown). Then pour this in the soup. Stir and serve.

DUMPLINGS:

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs

Put all ingredients together; add enough water to stick together. Then drop in salted water or soup.
