CHOCOLATE KRAUT CAKE | |
2 1/4 c. sifted all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. cocoa 2/3 c. shortening 1 1/2c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs 1 c. water 1/2 c. well drained sauerkraut Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Cream shortening with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after adding each egg. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with water. Blend all together then fold in well drained sauerkraut. Spoon into a greased 13"x9" pan. Bake for 35 or 40 minutes or until done. |
