CANNOLI CAKE 
1 qt. or 4 c. milk
19 heaping tsp. cornstarch
2 c. sugar
1 lemon peel
2 sm. cinnamon sticks
Pound cake

In a double boiler or a thick-bottomed saucepan over low heat, combine cold milk and cornstarch and stir constantly until mixture has thickened. Squeeze 6 drops of lemon juice into pan and stir well. Pour when hot over cake. Layer milk mixture and pound cake, spreading evenly. Sprinkle cinnamon lightly on top. Chocolate chips are optional. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
