MOTHER'S PEANUT BUTTER SQUARES 
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. corn flakes
1 c. Rice Krispies

Mix and cook 1/2 cup light brown sugar, syrup and peanut butter over low heat until well blended. Watch for burning. Remove from stove and add cereal. Mix well and press into 8 inch pan. Frost with caramel frosting.

FROSTING:

1 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. cream or milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Put sugar, butter and milk into a pan and slowly cook to a rolling boil. Boil hard for 1 minute. Watch for burning. Cool slightly and add vanilla. Beat until thick and creamy.
