BUTTER SUGAR COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. milk

Cream butter; add powdered sugar. Cream again. Add flour; alternate with vanilla and milk. Chill. Roll out to cut with cookie cutters. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Decorate with colored sugars before baking or frost when cool.
