2 c. cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. sugar
2 c. sour milk
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. melted shortening

Sift dry ingredients together and add milk, eggs and shortening. Mix well. Pour into greased pan and bake in hot oven (400 degrees F.) 30 minutes. Makes 1 (8x10 inch) loaf.
