SALMON PIE | |
1 can salmon, drain (save the juice) 1 sm. onion, chopped (optional) 4-5 med. potatoes, peeled, cooked and mashed Salt and pepper to taste Double-crust for 9 inch pie Combine salmon (after removing the bones and skin) and onion into a bowl. Alternate adding mashed potatoes and some of the salmon juice. Add salt and pepper. Place mixture between pie crust. Bake at 375 degrees until brown (30-45 minutes). DOUBLE-CRUST FOR 9 INCH PIE: 2 c. sifted flour 2/3 c. + 2 tbsp. shortening 1/4 c. cold water Enjoy! |
