WINTER COMPOST METHOD
4 inches of leaves
4 inches of green matter
10 lbs. of limestone
1/2 lb. Epsom salt and 1 lb. Borax (20 Mule Team)
For each 1/3 acre, sprinkle 1 packet of yeast in 2 gallons water
5 lb. 5-10-5 inorganic fertilizer (10-10-10, also okay)
Cover with 3 inches of soil

Each additional layer of compost, repeat steps 1 through 7. Thoroughly soak pile with water. 3 weeks after soaking in water, turn pile over until you have a mixture of homogenized material. Cover with plastic bags (black) and seal entire pile. Weigh down with rocks, logs, etc. Uncover pile when needed in spring.
