APPLESAUCE RAISIN LOAF 
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, room temperature
1 c. sugar
1 lg. egg, beaten
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. raisins

Combine applesauce and baking soda in small bowl. Cream butter with sugar in large bowl. Stir in egg, cinnamon, salt, allspice and cloves. Blend in applesauce mixture. Mix in flour and raisins.

Pour into greased 5 x 9 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan on rack; invert onto rack and cool completely. Makes 1 loaf.
