FRUIT JULEP 
1 med. cantaloupe, cut into balls (about 2 1/2 c.)
1 honeydew melon, cut into balls (about 2 1/2 c.)
1 (15 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks (juice pack), drained
1/2 lb. green seedless grapes
1 pt. fresh strawberries, sliced (about 2 1/2 c.)
2 ripe bananas, sliced
1 lg. can mandarin oranges

Make melon balls. Drain pineapple, reserve syrup. Wash and remove grapes from stems, towel dry. Wash and slice strawberries. Slice bananas on bias, placing into pineapple juice, drain. Drain oranges.

Layer chilled fruits into clear glass serving dish. Arrange and top attractively.

Combine:

1 tbsp. shredded orange peel
1 c. orange juice
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. mint extract

Pour over fruit and chill at least 2 hours. Just before serving, pour 1 bottle of lemon-lime carbonated beverage over fruit.
