EASY PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1/2 stick butter
Brown sugar
1 can pineapple slices
Cherries
1 box yellow cake mix
Nuts (optional)

Melt butter in a large iron fry pan. Spread brown sugar on bottom of pan. Place pineapple slices on top of brown sugar. Put a cherry in each pineapple hole. Mix cake mix according to package directions. Pour on top of sugar, butter and pineapple. Bake for about 30 minutes or until cake springs back when touched on top.

Optional: Place nuts in after pineapple slices and cherries.
