BANANA WALNUT CAKE 
1 c. shortening or butter
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
3/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk
2 c. mashed ripe bananas
2 c. chopped walnuts
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. Add bananas. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add flavor and nuts. Bake in greased oblong pan or 3 layer tiers at 350 degrees until done. Use Banarite Frosting.
