POLISH SAUSAGE & SAUERKRAUT 
1 ring Polish sausage
1 lg. pkg. sauerkraut, rinsed twice
1 lb. bacon
1 med. onion, diced
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
Water

Slice sausage (1/2 inch) pieces, set aside. Rinse sauerkraut in a colander, set aside. Fry bacon. Add onions to bacon, frying until clear. Combine sausage, sauerkraut, bacon, onions, mushrooms all together in a slow cooker or roaster. Slow simmer 1 hour. Add water if necessary. Keeps very well in a slow cooker on low.
